Fee

Individual session (in person, on line or walk and talk): £65 per hour long session 

Imago relationship therapy session: £80 per two hour long session (this will increase to £130 upon completion of the training)

Payable at the end of each session in cash or by BACS.

 

Cancellation Policy

To get the most out of therapy, it is preferable to attend regularly. If however, you need to cancel an appointment, please give at least 24 hours notice to avoid incurring a fee for late cancellation.  You will still need to pay for missed appointments if you fail to give 24 hours cancellation notice, or for appointments you fail to attend.

 

Confidentially (and it’s limits)

The content of our sessions is confidential.  However, I am required to pass on information to a third party in the following circumstances:


1. During clinical supervision. I sometimes discuss our work with my clinical supervisor. My supervisor also is bound by the same code of ethics as I am and maintains confidentiality in the same way. 


2. If I think that there is significant risk of harm to yourself or others. In this circumstance, if at all possible, I will discuss this with you beforehand. 


3. If I am required in a court of law to give evidence.


4. If I suspect acts of terrorism.

5. If I become aware of unreported road traffic accidents.

6. For one to one sessions during the course of couples therapy, information disclosed in these sessions will not be withheld from the other partner. 

I am registered with the BACP and as such, adhere to their ethical framework. 

 

Walk and Talk Therapy

1. Sessions may need to be rescheduled at short notice due to poor weather, but not cancelled without charge.

2. It is the client’s responsibility to wear appropriate clothing, sunscreen and footwear for walking off road according to the weather conditions.

3. Slips, trips and falls are possible during any outdoor based therapy. Clients are responsible for their own safety during these sessions. 

 

Data Protection

I keep brief hand written notes of our sessions.  My notes are anonymously coded; your name is not used in my written notes. Notes are stored in a locked box and destroyed after termination of our work together. 

I keep a hand written record of your name, a contact telephone number and the relevant code number in a separate, secure location. 

My notes and client information remain in my work room at all times. 

No contact details are stored on my mobile phone contacts list. 

I do keep emails for my personal reference. 

My mobile phone and iPad are password protected. 

I am registered with the Information Comissioner’s Office (ICO).

 

Your Data Protection Rights


Under data protection law, you have rights including:
Your right of access - You have the right to ask me for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask me to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask me to complete information you think is incomplete.
Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask me to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask me to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, I have one month to respond to you.


 Complaints 

I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).


If you wish to make a complaint about the therapy process, please discuss this with me in person. We may be able to resolve it. If after that, you feel that it remains unresolved, you can make a formal complaint in writing via the BACP. 

If you wish to make a formal compliant regarding data protection issues, please contact me in the first instance.  If it remains unresolved, you may complain to the ICO. Their contact details are:
